My Best painting is always the one I have just finished.  I guess it is because of the thought, time and effort that go into creating it.  A painting starts with an idea, and then the design.  If the design is good the painting will work, if not, no amount of tweaking can make it work.  There is a saying, "Hard writing, makes for easy reading."  the same goes for painting.  I had three years of classical oil painting classes while living in Belgium, and when I returned to the States, I re-enrolled in college to study Fine Art.  I study Art daily, and try to paint daily.  It isn't easy, but I'm thankful for this journey I am on.
