Jacklyn Karabaich grew up in Southern California, and thinks the sunlight there still influences her art.   "My inspiration comes from all of my life experiences.  Living and traveling overseas as a Military wife, was not only a wonderful experience, but also a great education.  It enabled me to receive three years of classical oil painting instruction while living in Belgium."   Upon her return to the United States she returned to college where she majored in Fine Art.  She has taken workshops with award winning artists Ray Roberts and L. Diane Johnson.

"I try to take one workshop every year to further my painting education.  I combine travel with study. When I return from a workshop with the new sights fresh in mind, that is when I see the most growth in my art.  Oil painting is a continual learning process, and each painting has its own challenges to overcome.  It's not what you paint, but how you paint it."
